Privacy policy

Last updated · July 2, 2026

This policy describes what Menttion collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we don’t sell it, and you can take it with you or delete it.

What we collect

Account details (name, email), workspace configuration (brand, domain, competitors, prompts, markets), the AI-engine answers we retrieve for your workspace, product usage events, and, if you connect integrations such as Google Analytics, Search Console or a store, the data those integrations are scoped to share.

How we use it

To run your scans, compute visibility analytics, generate recommendations and content, bill you correctly, and support you. Integration credentials are stored encrypted and used only for the syncs you configured.

Processors

We rely on a small set of processors: cloud hosting (AWS), payments (Stripe), transactional email (Brevo) and AI model providers used to run engine checks and generate content. Each receives only what its function requires.

Cookies and analytics

The marketing site uses essential cookies plus third-party analytics and support tools that set their own cookies: Google Analytics 4 (usage analytics), Microsoft Clarity (aggregated session analytics), and Crisp (live chat). These non-essential tools load only after you accept in our cookie banner — decline and they are never loaded. The app uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication and preferences. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

Retention and deletion

Workspace data is retained while your account is active. Delete a workspace (or your account) and its data is removed after a short recovery window. You can request an export first.

Your rights

Access, correction, export, deletion, email hi@menttion.comand we’ll handle it. If you’re in a jurisdiction with specific data-protection rights (GDPR, CCPA), those apply in full.
