Cookie policy

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies we use, what they do, and the control you have over them. It sits alongside our Privacy policy.
Essential vs. non-essential
Essential cookies and local storage make the site and app work — signing you in, remembering your workspace, and keeping your session secure. These are always on because the product can’t function without them, and they set no advertising identifiers.
Non-essential cookies power analytics and live chat. On our marketing site these do not load until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Choose Decline and they are never loaded.
Non-essential tools we use
When you accept, the marketing site loads three third-party tools, each of which sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic and usage analytics, so we can see which pages help and which don’t.
- Microsoft Clarity — aggregated, anonymized session analytics (heatmaps, scroll depth) to improve page layout.
- Crisp — the live-chat widget, so you can ask us a question and we can reply.
Cookies in the app
The signed-in app (app.menttion.com) uses only essential cookies and browser local storage — to hold your authentication tokens, the workspace you’re viewing, and your interface preferences. It does not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Managing your choice
Your marketing-site choice is stored locally in your browser so the banner only shows once. To change it, clear this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser and reload — the banner returns and you can decide again. You can also block or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the app from working.
